YouTube Music is rolling out the ability to share music and podcasts from a specific time period. So, instead of your friends manually moving to the music listening milestone, you can now create a link that starts playback right at the music you want. This feature is similar to sharing YouTube videos with time. Below are instructions for sharing YouTube Music over time.
Instructions for sharing YouTube Music over time
Step 1:
First you click on the YouTube Music song you want to share, then at the time the song you want to send immediately to the other person, Click the Share button below to proceed to share this song.
Step 2:
In the sharing mode customization interface you will see Set Start at xx:xx for us to activatewith a timeline being shared.
When someone taps the shared link, the music or podcast will start playing from that moment.
This feature makes it easy to share your favorite part of a song with loved ones without having to send a private message asking them to start listening at a specific time, which can be annoying. It also allows you to share a specific part of the podcast directly, which is especially useful because podcasts are often long, saving the other person from having to delete the entire episode.
