AOE 2, also known as Empire 2, is the first version released in 1999 on Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems. This is the second version in a series of Age of Empires, then 2 more expanded versions of AOE 2 are Age of Empires: The Conquerors, Age of Empires: The Age of Kings were launched in the year respectively. 2000 and 2001.
The recent AOE 2 version has been redone by Microsoft with the name Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and will be hit shelves on November 14.
