Microsoft updates Notepad note-taking tool on Windows by adding AI-powered features. The new version of Notepad can edit your text to make it longer, shorter, sound more formal, etc. Many people do not plan to use the AI feature on Notepad and there is a possibility that Microsoft may start Charge for AI features. Below are instructions for using the old Notepad version on Windows 11.

Step 1:
You press Win + I key combination to access Settings on Windows. Next, the user clicks Apps section to access the application management interface on Windows.
Step 2:
Looking at the setup interface next to it, click on it Advanced App Settings to access advanced application settings.
Step 3:
Now we click on App execution aliases section in the new interface as shown below.
Display the application list, you will Turn off the Notepad application on Windows.
Step 4:
We press Win + R key combination to open the Run dialog box. Afterward enter notepad.exe Go to the Run dialog box and press Enter.
You will now see the old version of Notepad interface on Windows 11 as shown below.
You can create a shortcut to the old version by right-clicking on an empty area on the desktop, go to New and select Shortcut.
Afterward enter notepad.exe Go to the frame as shown to create a shortcut.
If you launch Notepad from the Start menu, the newer version of the app will open instead of the old version.
