If you have multiple User accounts on your Windows 10 computer or if you do not want to use a certain User account, you can choose to delete that User account.
In addition, deleting user accounts that you do not use can significantly “free up” memory space, and your computer will even run “smoother” than before.
Ways to delete accounts on Windows 10 computers
1. Delete user account through Windows Settings
To delete a user account through Windows Settings, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Open the Settings application by clicking on the icon Settings on the Start menu or press a key combination Windows

Step 2: On the interface Settings, you click to select Account (Your accounts, email, sync, work, family).

Step 3: Click to select Family and other usersthen click to select the user account you want to delete and then click select Remove.

Step 4: At this time, a confirmation dialog box will appear on the screen, click to select Delete account and data to delete the user account you want to delete.

2. Delete Windows 10 account through Control Panel
Step 1: Open Control Panel by entering keywords Control panel into frame Search Start Menu or frame Search on the bar Taskbar then press Enter.

Step 2: Click to select User Accounts to open the User Account window.

Step 3: Select next User Accounts in the next interface.
Step 4: Click to select the link Manage another account to see all user accounts on your computer.

Step 5: Click to select the user account you want to delete.

Step 6: Here you click on the link Delete the account.

Step 7: The message “” will appear on the screen.Do you want to keep user's files?“.
If click select Keep FilesWindows 10 will save things on the desktop, documents, favorites, videos, music and photos into a new folder and will name this folder. On the contrary, if you choose Delete Files, everything will be completely deleted.

Step 8: After clicking select Keep Files To save these files, click to select Delete Account to delete the user account you selected.

3. Delete Windows 10 users via Command Prompt
Step 1: Open Command Prompt under Admin, first enter cmd
Go to the Seach Start Menu frame or on the Taskbar, then right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Or another way is to right-click on Start Menu and then click select Command Prompt (admin) to open Command prompt under Admin.
If you use Windows 10 with the latest versions then button Run as administrator will appear as soon as you search Command Prompt.

Click to select Yes if the User Account Control message appears on the screen.
Step 2: On the Command Prompt window, enter the command below and press Enter to see all user accounts on your computer:
net users

Step 3: Next enter the command below to delete the user account, then click Enter:
net user UserAccountName /delete

Note: In the above command instead UserName with the user account name you want to delete that you just found in step 2.
4. Delete User account through Local Users and Groups
Step 1: Press the key combination Windows+R to open the command window Run.
Step 2: Enter the following command in the dialog box Run and press Enter:
lusrmgr.msc

Step 3: At the window Local Users and Groups appears, click to select the folder User in the left pane list to open the folder User.

Step 4: Here you click to select an account User that you want to delete in the middle frame list, then click to select More Actions in frame Actions on the right then click select Delete.

Step 5: At this time, a confirmation dialog box will appear on the screen, click to select Yes to agree to delete the user account you have selected.

Step 6: Once done, close the window Local Users and Groups again it's done.
5. Delete User account through Netplwiz
Step 1: Enter netplwiz
Go to the Search box on the Start Menu or the Search box on the Taskbar and then click Enter.

Step 2: If a UAC message appears on the screen, click to select it Yes to confirm.
Step 3: Next on the User Account window, check the box Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Step 4: Next click to select the user account you want to delete and then click select Remove.

Step 5: Click to select Yes to confirm deletion.

Step 6: If you set Windows to automatically log in to this User account on Startup, you must set this feature again.
Step 7: Once done, close the window Netplwiz again it's done.
6. Delete the user on the computer using System Properties
Step 1: Press the key combination Windows
+R
to open the command window Run.
Step 2: Enter the following command in the dialog box Run and press Enter:
SystemPropertiesAdvanced

Step 3: At the window System Properties appears, click on it Settings in section User Profiles.

Step 4: In the window User Profiles new, select the user profile you want to delete and click Delete.

Step 5: Click to select Yes at the prompt that appears to confirm deletion.
