Fixed column rows in Excel help you get a clearer overview of statistical tables with large data. In some cases, you don't see the option to freeze columns or rows, affecting document processing and the overall view of the data table. If you have problems with fixed column/row errors in Excel, refer to the fix in the article below.
1. Check if you use the Split Excel tool?
The first fix is to check if you are using the Split feature in Excel. If these two features work together, they will encounter errors.
We access the data table, then Click the View tab and Click on the Freeze feature Pane. If it has been fixed, closed with a seal Click Unfreeze Panes to cancel and start again from the beginning.
2. Check for hidden rows in Excel
If the data table has hidden rows, using the row or column freezing feature will also be problematic. You check the data table again and then unhide that row or column.
3. Change the mode to default in Excel
If you're using a view other than the default, the option to freeze rows or columns in Excel may be turned off completely. You click on the View tab again and then click on Normal in the Workbook Views section.
4. Cancel Excel worksheet protection mode
In some cases, when you receive data from another party, they have set up sheet protection mode, freezing rows or columns. If features other than freezing cells don't work, you should unprotect this sheet.
You click Review tab Later Click on Unprotect Sheet to unprotect the sheet.
5. Delete Macros in Excel
If you accidentally create a macro that prevents freezing of columns and rows, any time you run this macro, the freezing of rows and columns feature in Excel will not work. Then you need to check this macro again.
We click View tab and select MacrosLater Click on the Macro that needs editing.
In the VBA window with the macro's code. You check to see if there is a line ActiveWindow.FreezePanes = False then delete them.
