Your main photo is the first exposure. To remove the background, you need a plain black photo to apply as a double exposure. You can take a photo with the camera completely covered or download a black rectangle from the available website.
Click on the icon Add Image from the Double Exposure page to add black photos. It applies to the original image in a translucent way, with a low contrast effect. Click on the icon Blend in the middle to display the blend modes and select them Subtract or Darken. This applies black to the entire image. Then, click on the check mark.
Select Edit at the top, enter View Edits > Double Exposure > Brush (icon in the middle). Click on the check mark to apply, the background will be removed and replaced with black.

Cutout is a Pro feature, so to save photos you need to register or use the free trial.
The Remove BG tool removes the image background immediately after selecting the tool icon. You can keep the background transparent, apply a solid color, or even use any AI-generated background before saving the photo. The Remove BG tool is available exclusively to Picsart Pro users – and you can't take a screenshot of the results without a subscription.
