How to configure opendns
On the computer running Windows:
Windows 10:
- Open “Settings”.
- Select “Network & Internet” (Network and Internet).
- Select “Ethernet” or “Wi-Fi,” depending on the connection you are using.
- Click on the connection name.
- Roll down and select “Change Adapter Options” (Change the adapter option).
- Right -click the connection you are using and select “Properties” (attribute).
- Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4)” (Internet protocol version 4).
- Enter the IP address of the DNS server into the box “Preferred DNS Server” and “Alternate DNS Server.”
Windows 7:
- Open “Control Panel”.
- Select “Network and Sharing Center”.
- Click “Change Adapter Settings”.
- Right -click the connection you are using and select “Properties” (attribute).
- Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4)” (Internet protocol version 4).
- Enter the IP address of the DNS server into the box “Preferred DNS Server” and “Alternate DNS Server.”
On macOS
- Open “System Preferences”.
- Select “Network” (network).
- Select the connection you are using.
- Click the “Advanced” button.
- Switch to the “DNS.”
- Click the “+” icon to add the IP address of the DNS server.
