You can search for “smart templates” in the search bar of the Templates page, or scroll through any template and look for the Smart Templates sparkling diamond icon in the upper left corner.
Create smart video templates
Once you find the Smart Template you want to use, select it to preview the sample video, then select Use Smart Templates. Select all the video clips you want to apply to the template and write a description of your video below the selected clips. You can also choose the duration or use the default duration that CapCut generates. Once all are selected, select Preview.
Once the preview is complete, you can edit it manually. Media, audio or text can all be edited individually or you can jump to the button Go to Edit to edit everything in one place.
Text can be edited in many ways. You can change the wording – the AI may not produce the right text – when, how often and where text is displayed throughout your video, and of course, you can change the font, style and text color.
Video clips are set to audio, but both are editable. You can replace, delete, or lengthen clips. If you change the timing of a clip, it may no longer match the audio that CapCut's AI sets for your video. This warning also applies to audio changes; If you want the clip to switch to rhythm, it's best to keep the audio and clip length the same.
Once you're satisfied with the video, select it Export. Depending on your export choice, you may have the CapCut logo watermarked in the top corner. If you export as a TikTok video saved to your device, you can avoid the watermark – and you don't have to upload the video to TikTok.
