End-to-end encryption in Facebook Messenger is a security feature of the application that helps encrypt messages. However, many users are quite annoyed by this feature when they cannot read messages on other devices. Basically, the encryption feature on Messenger is turned on by default. But if you don't like to use it, you can completely turn off end-to-end encryption on Messenger according to the instructions below.
How to turn off end-to-end encryption on Messenger Android and iPhone
Step 1:
At the interface on the Messenger application, click 3 dashes icon in the top left corner of the interface. Next we click cog icon to adjust.


Step 2:
Switch to the message settings interface, click Privacy and safety. Now we continue to click End-to-end encrypted chat option.


Step 3:
You click Secure Storage section to adjust. Now you will have it 2 options Turn off secure memory and Erase and turn off secure memory.


If just want to turn off Messenger's end-to-end encryption but still keep a copy of the message, click on it Turn off secure memory. Press Continue to do it is okay.
To Turn off Messenger end-to-end encryption and delete message backups then you click Delete and turn off secure storage, but messages cannot be restored on another device.
So you have turned off the end-to-end encryption feature on Messenger.
Instructions for turning off end-to-end encryption on Facebook phones
Step 1:
At the interface on the Facebook application, we click 3 dashes icon below. Next, click cog icon in the top right corner of the interface.


Step 2:
Displaying the new interface, we click immediately Password and security options. Switch to the next interface, scroll down to the Account Settings section and click Passwords and security.


Step 3:
In the interface as shown, we will see End-to-end encrypted chat section. You will click on the item Safe memory to use. Here you will see the settings for the Messenger message backup feature of chat encryption. Friend Tap Securely Erase Storage below.


Step 4:
At this point, you will receive a notification that end-to-end encrypted messages will no longer be backed up, and you will not be able to retrieve messages if you lose this device or log in on another device.
If you agree, you just need to press Continue to delete end-to-end encrypted messages and turn off the end-to-end encryption feature on Messenger and you're done.
How to turn off end-to-end encryption on Facebook PC
Step 1:
In the Facebook application interface, click Messenger icon to access.
Continue to click to select 3 dots icon then select Privacy & safety in the displayed list.
Step 2:
Show new options, users Click on End-to-end encrypted chat to change the message encryption settings on Messenger.
Continue clicking Store messages in the interface displayed later.
Step 3:
Then an interface appears to adjust the encryption feature on Messenger. In this interface, users scroll down and click Secure memory deletion and shutdown below.
You are then asked if you are sure you want to delete and turn off storage and turn off encryption on Messenger. Friend Click Continue to perform.
So we have turned off encryption on computer Messenger without needing to enter the code to view the message content anymore.
