Then the user will see Application for CCCD Chip exchange. Click to confirm to receive the votes and the receiving code. You need to print this voucher and go to the meeting point over time to re -issue CCCD cards.

Subjects need to change from CCCD to identity card from July 1, 2024

ID cards are new identity papers and will be applied from July 1, 2024. Pursuant to the Law on Degree No. 26/2023/QH15, from July 1, 2024, if CCCD card expires, citizens are required to change from CCCD to identity card. In addition, based on Article 23 of the 2014 Citizenship Law, Article 24 of the 2023 Law on Degree, citizens must change from CCCD to identity card from July 1, 2024 in the following cases:

  • The CCCD card is not used.
  • Change information about them, buffer letters, names; Democratic characteristics.
  • Redefine gender, hometown.
  • There are errors on information on the citizen identity card.
  • Lost citizen identity card;
  • Return to Vietnamese nationality in accordance with the Law on Vietnamese Nationality.

Thus, from July 1, if the CCCD card expires, citizens are required to go to the ID card with a new model.
